Malz++Kassner CAD6 is a professional CAD software for Windows that is used in all kinds of applications. It runs on Windows 2000 / XP / 2003 / Vista.
CAD6 Release 2009 Service Pack 1 is available now! The most important improvements and extensions compared to CAD6 Release 2008:
* Mapping objects – allow you to dynamically map parts of the drawing’s model space to another location within a page of the drawing without creating a physical copy. A change in the original will directly affect the mapping, too.
* Switching between model space and pages – all objects that are not assigned to any page now form the Model Space. This can be used separately from the Pages in order to separate model and pager space.
* Checking for logical errors – check the drawing’s objects for frequent logical errors such as zero lengths, duplicate points, duplicate outline elements, self-intersecting objects, empty texts, etc.
* Improved DXF/DWG import and export – model space and all layouts from DXF and DWG files are now directly adopted and can be switched and edited directly in CAD6. During export, pages are converted directly to layouts and the model space is maintained.
* Professional PDF creation – the separately available CAD6 PDF Printer allows you to create high-quality PDF files with transparencies, layers, CMYK and LAB colors, and an internal resolution of 0.005 µm. Creation of PDF files compliant with PDF/A-1b (ISO 19005-1 Level B, long-term archiving), PDF/X-3:2003 (ISO 15930-6, offset printing), and PDF/X-1a:2003 (ISO 15930-4, offset printing).
* Transparency – all objects (outlines, fillings, texts, and bitmaps) can be displayed transparent. For bitmaps, you can state an alternative transparency color. 1)
* Color models – colors can be defined in the CMYK, RGB, HSB, LAB, and grayscale color spaces. When creating a PDF file using the CAD6 PDF Printer, these color spaces will be preserved.
* Automatic buttons – six new automatic buttons in the panel offer fast and intuitive access to all frequently used drawing elements (layers, pens, coordinate systems, hatchings, and pages) and to the list of recently used command.
* Databases – new database commands allow to assign extended data to individual objects, create links between databases and object groups, search for objects based on their extended data, and set the permanent selection automatically based a database’s content.
* Internal database – each drawing file now contains an internal database so that you can use the database commands without having to care about archiving external database files.
* DBF import and export – import and export dBASE® database files in addition to the CSV format.
* SHP import and export – import and export ESRI® Shapefiles with points, lines, and areas (SHP file). The attributes are imported from the orresponding dBASE® file (DBF) and can be managed using CAD6’s database commands.
* Print page intervals – when printing, enter the desired page numbers arbitrarily with intervals, e.g. „1, 3, 5-8, 12“.
* Improved word wrap control in texts – the new control sequences ­ and allow a better control of word-wrap in frame texts.
* Spirals – the Drawing plug-in now features archimedean and logarithmic spirals as extended, fully editable objects.
* Import of point coordinates – from CSV files (databases) and G-Code files (CAM programs).
* More information – the dialog for object selection during ambiguous identification displays much more information (such as page assignment, line style, colors, block names, etc.).
* New Toolbox option – the toolbox window can now also be docked on the right window edge.
